It is completely online and self-paced, although it is recommended to complete the course within 6 to 8 weeks. Foundations provides the student with the fundamentals of becoming a fitness professional and includes modules such as anatomy and physiology, movement mechanics, energy systems, basic nutrition and much more. The curriculum is formatted into modules with review questions and short quizzes that will test the participants' knowledge along the way. When ready, students can access the official exam.
